Geneva – Fireplace

This media center replaced a very clunky wood-burning fireplace enclosure. The new marble-clad gas fireplace vents directly out the back wall. The figured maple floating shelves are secured by custom welded steel internal supports. The load capacity is tremendous. The flat-screen is mounted to the lacquered back wall with a double-wishbone arm for maximum adjustability.

AV cabinet features a novel stainless steel chainmail insert, primarily to provide ventilation. In daylight, the cabinet’s contents are mostly concealed from view. During evening hours, the stainless darkens thereby allowing electronic displays to be read.
